EAQUALS (Evaluation and Accreditation of Quality Language Services) is an international association dedicated to excellence in language education. Founded in 1991, EAQUALS aims to improve the quality of language teaching and learning by accrediting language institutions worldwide. The organization sets high standards for educational institutions, focusing on areas such as curriculum design, teaching methodologies and student support. Through its rigorous accreditation process, EAQUALS ensures that member institutions deliver outstanding educational services and promotes continuous professional development and innovation in language education.
Aiming to provide the highest quality in teaching methods, curriculum design and general language education services, Boğaziçi University School of Foreign Languages (YADYOK) English Preparatory Unit started its efforts to be accredited by EAQUALS in the 2023-2024 academic year in order to prove the high quality language education it has been practicing for many years, to increase the international reputation of YADYOK and to make it more attractive to prospective students and faculty members worldwide, and was accredited by EAQUALS as a result of the accreditation visits organized in April 2024. Boğaziçi University School of Foreign Languages (YADYOK) English Preparatory Unit has been accredited by EAQUALS for achieving “high standards” in six of the twelve criteria above and “points of excellence” in the remaining six.
