Expertise in Teaching
I hold a PhD in English Education and a CELTA qualification, with teaching experience dating back to 2004. My career began at Iran Language Institute (ILI), and I have since worked with learners at a wide range of proficiency levels across diverse educational contexts. My work reflects a strong professional commitment to teaching and a focus on informed, reflective, learner-centered practice.
Expertise in Research
My research expertise is situated at the intersection of discourse analysis and corpus linguistics, with a strong emphasis on classroom discourse. I examine teacher talk and student written and spoken discourse using move analysis and corpus-based approaches to explore discursive practices, phraseological competence, and functional language use. My broader research interests include how discourse operates within educational settings to shape learning and teaching practices. I have published research in reputable journals such as RELC Journal and Educational Philosophy and Theory.
