She currently teaches in the School of Foreign Languages Preparatory Program (YADYOK).

Her main areas of expertise and interest include bilingualism, homeschooling young learners, educational technologies, philosophy of education, and sustainability, with a particular focus on sustainable gastronomy, business ethics, decent work, resilience, and well-being at work.

Short Bio

Jülide Öztürk is an Instructor at the School of Foreign Languages, Boğaziçi University, where she has been teaching in the Preparatory Program since 2007.

She holds an MA in Sustainable Tourism Management and BA degrees in Western Languages and Literature, Philosophy and English Translation and Interpretation. She also has a minor degree in Tourism Management.

Before joining academia, she worked in the Sales and Marketing departments of multinational companies such as Procter & Gamble and The Ritz-Carlton. She’s interested in bilingualism, educational technologies, philosophy of education, and sustainability, with a particular focus on sustainable gastronomy, business ethics, decent work, and well-being at work.

As an innovation advocate, she is deeply engaged with AI advancements and actively integrates these technologies into her classroom teaching to enhance the student learning experience. Furthermore, she is committed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on Quality Education to bridge pedagogical gaps and create meaningful interdisciplinary connections in student learning.
