Abbreviated Curriculum Vitae:

Yasemin Çelebi Paçalıoğlu has over ten years of experience in teaching English, including three years in higher education. A native speaker of English, she grew up in the city of Salisbury in the United Kingdom. Alongside her career in teaching English as a second language, she has pursued advanced studies in Ottoman literature and is currently at the early stages of her doctoral research on Ottoman-period Sufi poetry. Her professional interests also include translating Ottoman poetry to English.

She began her teaching career in language schools in Istanbul before serving as an assistant teacher at the University of Colorado Boulder (2017-2019). After professional experience in journalism and the television sector, she returned to higher education as an English instructor at Nişantaşı University (2022-2023) and Haliç University (2023-2025).

In addition to her academic work, she is engaged in non-profit work as a board member at the International Mevlana Foundation, where she contributes to the management of its UNESCO accreditation.
