Sinem Yilmaz Demir has been an English instructor at Boğaziçi University since 2008. She has taught general and academic English at the School of Foreign Languages at various levels. She was also the vice academic coordinator of the Saritepe Campus School of Foreign Languages for five years from 2010 to 2015. She is also a voracious researcher. She enjoys conducting action research on various ELT topics. Her master's thesis is on using the European Language Portfolio and fostering learner autonomy.
